Thoughts

Fr Philip here: Rita and Henry were so much a part of our lives when we lived in Elmstead Market when I was the Vicar until 2003. I'm so sorry that covid has prevented us from being with you all on the funeral day at Weeley. I have such fond memories of Rita - she was hospitable, generous, kind - and an amazing volunteer and worker at the church - a key part of the 'church family', and so much liked and loved by everyone. You will all miss her smile, energy and love. All that now taken into the arms of our loving God - the gates of heaven surely flung wide to receive her. "May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen".

I will always be grateful to Rita and Henry for their kindness and hospitality they always showed me when I visited the UK from my home in Adelaide Australia! I remember many laughs and fun times together as well as being taken to visit my beloved Great Auntie Daisy and my last visit in 1991 they took me up to see Michelle and I got to hold the newborn baby Daniel! It was lovely to see them so proud and happy!! Rita always had a cheeky glint in her eyes and was a great wife to Henry, a wonderful mother to both Jennifer and Michelle, and all her grandchildren!! Rita thanks for such wonderful memories!! Love Joy and family ❤️ Rest in Peace ❣️
